Georgian Ministry of Culture Delegation Holds Meeting at Brazil’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs

As part of the official visit of the Georgian Ministry of Culture delegation to the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Head of the Delegation and Deputy Minister of Culture of Georgia, Giorgi Mirtskhulava, met with Brazil’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Trade, Science, Technology, Innovation and Culture, Alex Giacomelli da Silva, as well as the leadership of the Guimarães Rosa Institute. The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Brazil, Zurab Mchedlishvili.

During the meeting, the participants highlighted the positive momentum in cultural relations between Georgia and Brazil and discussed prospects for further expanding cooperation in the cultural sphere. Particular attention was given to the role of cultural diplomacy, the importance of strengthening institutional cooperation, exchanging expertise, and developing joint cultural initiatives.

The parties also welcomed the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of culture between Georgia and Brazil, describing it as an important step toward further enhancing bilateral cultural relations.
