The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Peru, Zurab Mchedlishvili (with residency in Brazil), held a meeting with Eric Anderson, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Peru, as well as representatives of the Ministry's thematic directorates, during his visit to Lima.

As part of the official celebrations marking the Independence Day of the Republic of Peru, a square located in the central district of Lima was officially named Tbilisi Square.

As part of the official visit of the Georgian Ministry of Culture delegation to the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Head of the Delegation and Deputy Minister of Culture of Georgia, Giorgi Mirtskhulava, held a meeting with the Secretary of State for Culture of Rio de Janeiro, Danielle Barros. The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Brazil, Zurab Mchedlishvili.

The President of the Rio de Janeiro City Council, Carlo Caiado, awarded the Honorary Citizenship of the City of Rio de Janeiro to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Federative Republic of Brazil, Mr. Zurab Mchedlishvili, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to strengthening cooperation between the regions of the two countries and the successful implementation of joint initiatives with representatives of the state's legislative and executive authorities.

As part of the official visit of the Georgian Ministry of Culture delegation to the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Head of the Delegation and Deputy Minister of Culture of Georgia, Giorgi Mirtskhulava, met with Brazil’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Trade, Science, Technology, Innovation and Culture, Alex Giacomelli da Silva, as well as the leadership of the Guimarães Rosa Institute. The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Brazil, Zurab Mchedlishvili.

As part of the official visit of the Georgian Ministry of Culture delegation to the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Head of the Delegation and Deputy Minister of Culture of Georgia, Giorgi Mirtskhulava, met with Brazil’s Minister of Culture, Margareth Menezes. The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Brazil, Zurab Mchedlishvili.

The Embassy of Georgia in the Federative Republic of Brazil organized a special event marking Georgia’s Independence Day at the Claudio Santoro National Theatre in Brasília.

During a working visit to the State of Rio de Janeiro, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Federative Republic of Brazil, Zurab Mchedlishvili, held a meeting with Daniela Barros, Head of the State Department of Culture.

Under the auspices of the Embassy of Georgia in the Federative Republic of Brazil, a presentation entitled “Georgia: A Cradle of Wine and a Hub of Opportunities” was held at the offices of the consulting firm Arthur D. Little.
