Georgian Ambassador Presents Credentials to Suriname’s Foreign Minister
On March 12, 2026, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Suriname (with residence in Brasília), Zurab Mchedlishvili, presented copies of his credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Business and International Cooperation of Suriname, Melvin Bouva.
During the ceremony, the parties discussed opportunities for developing relations in both bilateral and multilateral formats and positively assessed the growing dynamics of cooperation. The Georgian Ambassador expressed readiness to actively contribute to strengthening political dialogue, organizing high-level bilateral visits and deepening ties between the two countries in the fields of economy, culture and education.
The Georgian Ambassador thanked the Surinamese government for its support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. In turn, Melvin Bouva wished the Ambassador success and reaffirmed the readiness of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Suriname to provide its support.
