Meeting with the Minister of Science, Technologies, Innovations and Communications of Brazil

On day 28 of march, the Ambassador of Georgia to the Federative Republic of Brasil – David Solomonia met with the Minister of Science, Technologies, Innovations and Communications of Brazil – Astronaut Marcos Pontes. 

During the meeting parties discussed the future perspectives of scientific cooperation between Georgia and Brazil, also underlined the importance of cooperation in the areas of fundamental, applied, exact and natural sciences. They also talked about the opportunities of realization of joint researches, seminars and exchange programs, recognition of academic degrees. In this way, the parties emphasized the role of special instruments that will create a legal base for cooperation among the academic circles.

 For the purpose of joint engagement on the international scientific arena, the importance of linking bilateral scientific and research programs was emphasized.
Discussions also focused on the prospects of cooperation in the field of innovative technology, which will facilitate sharing of information and practical experience on the activities of scientists, researchers and innovators of the two countries.
