Georgia and Brazil Sign Cultural Cooperation Memorandum

As part of the official visit of the Georgian Ministry of Culture delegation to the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Head of the Delegation and Deputy Minister of Culture of Georgia, Giorgi Mirtskhulava, met with Brazil’s Minister of Culture, Margareth Menezes. The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Brazil, Zurab Mchedlishvili.

The discussions focused on expanding cultural cooperation between Georgia and Brazil. Both sides emphasized the rich cultural diversity of their countries and the importance of promoting greater mutual awareness and appreciation of their respective cultural heritage.

During the meeting, the Memorandum of Cooperation in the Field of Culture between Georgia and Brazil was formally presented. The document had previously been signed in Georgia by Georgia’s Minister of Culture, Tinatin Rukhadze and was officially handed over to Brazil’s Minister of Culture by Deputy Minister Giorgi Mirtskhulava.

Ambassador Zurab Mchedlishvili noted that the memorandum opens a new chapter in cultural relations between the two countries, creating broader opportunities for cooperation across various cultural sectors and supporting future joint initiatives.
