Georgian Deputy Culture Minister Holds Talks with Rio de Janeiro's Culture Secretary

As part of the official visit of the Georgian Ministry of Culture delegation to the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Head of the Delegation and Deputy Minister of Culture of Georgia, Giorgi Mirtskhulava, held a meeting with the Secretary of State for Culture of Rio de Janeiro, Danielle Barros. The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Brazil, Zurab Mchedlishvili.

During the meeting, both sides underscored the importance of strengthening regional cooperation in the field of culture and highlighted Rio de Janeiro’s unique role as one of Brazil’s leading cultural centers, offering significant opportunities for the development of new joint cultural initiatives.

The parties expressed their readiness to further expand cooperation across a wide range of cultural fields, including cinema, theatre, museum activities, literature, and cultural exchange programs. They also emphasized the importance of strengthening direct institutional ties and implementing joint cultural projects, which will contribute to raising mutual awareness and further deepening cultural relations between Georgia and Brazil.
