Embassy Showcases Georgia’s Economic Potential in Brazil

Under the auspices of the Embassy of Georgia in the Federative Republic of Brazil, a presentation entitled “Georgia: A Cradle of Wine and a Hub of Opportunities” was held at the offices of the consulting firm Arthur D. Little.

The event aimed to introduce the Brazilian audience to Georgia’s economic potential, investment attractiveness, key macroeconomic indicators, competitive advantages and promising areas for bilateral cooperation.

The opening remarks were delivered by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Brazil, Zurab Mchedlishvili. In his address, the Ambassador highlighted the positive momentum in Georgia-Brazil relations, emphasized the importance of further developing trade and economic cooperation and underscored the need to strengthen ties between government institutions, the business communities and relevant organizations of both countries.

The presentation was attended by representatives of Brazil’s federal government, relevant ministries, state agencies and the business community, including officials responsible for trade, investment, tourism, transport, energy and international cooperation.

Participants were introduced to Georgia’s key macroeconomic indicators, the outcomes of ongoing reforms, the country’s achievements in international rankings, the benefits of its free trade agreements and investment opportunities in the fields of energy, transport and logistics, innovation and technology, tourism and winemaking.

Particular emphasis was placed on Georgia’s strategic role as a regional hub connecting Europe and Asia, its transit potential, opportunities in renewable energy development, and its unique cultural heritage, including its 8,000-year-old winemaking tradition.

The presentation concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, followed by a tasting of Georgian wines.
