Georgian Ambassador Presents Georgia’s Position at the COP-30 Leaders’ Summit in Brazil

On November 7, 2025, Zurab Mchedlishvili, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Federative Republic of Brazil, presented Georgia’s position as head of the Georgian delegation at the plenary session of the Leaders’ Summit during the 30th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-30), held in the city of Belém.

In his address, the Ambassador of Georgia expressed gratitude to the Brazilian side for hosting the climate conference and for its leadership in the global environmental protection movement.

In his remarks, the Ambassador emphasized the necessity of joint efforts to achieve sustainable results in combating climate change. He also highlighted the importance of the work carried out by each country at the national level in this process.

The Georgian Ambassador underlined Georgia’s active engagement in achieving global environmental goals and reaffirmed the country’s commitment to the principles established under the Paris Climate Agreement.

Within the framework of the summit, the Ambassador of Georgia held bilateral meetings with the heads of various delegations as well as with the Governor of the State of Belém, Helder Barbalho.
