Meeting with Ambassador Acir Pimenta Madeira
On February 5, 2026, in the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Ambassador of Georgia, Zurab Mchedlishvili, held a meeting with Ambassador Acir Pimenta Madeira, Head of the Foreign Relations Office of the President of the upper chamber of the Brazilian Parliament, the Federal Senate.
The meeting focused on the role of parliamentary diplomacy and opportunities to deepen relations between the legislative bodies of the two countries. The parties reviewed prospects for the further development of cooperation.
The discussion also addressed the implementation of an informational and educational project about Georgia in the Senate, which would further increase awareness of Georgia within the legislative body.
The parties expressed their readiness to elevate the existing inter-parliamentary cooperation between Georgia and Brazil to a new level.
